1. The Hamper Boutique Co (ABN 76 693 489 702) is committed to promoting responsible alcohol consumption. We comply with all relevant laws governing the sale and delivery of alcohol in Australia. This policy outlines our commitment to responsible liquor sales and sets out the measures in place to ensure compliance.
  2. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry codes related to the sale and delivery of alcohol in Australia. We aim to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for customers purchasing gift hampers containing alcohol, whether shipped locally or Australia-wide.

  3. Scope

This policy applies to all customers purchasing or receiving gifts containing alcohol through our website, by phone, or in person. It also applies to all staff and contractors involved in liquor sales activities, covering identification checks, sales procedures, delivery protocols, and responsible service of alcohol.

  4. Acknowledgement of Legal Drinking Age

Before placing an order for a gift hamper containing alcohol, customers must acknowledge that the recipient is of legal drinking age (18 years or older). This acknowledgment may be obtained through our website, by phone, or in person.

  5. Proof of Age

Our delivery partners are required to check the recipient's identification at the time of delivery to confirm their age. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, passport, or a government-issued proof of age card.

  6. Non-Delivery to Minors

If the recipient is unable to provide valid identification or is under the legal drinking age, we will not deliver the gift hamper containing alcohol. It will be returned to The Hamper Boutique Co, and we will work with the customer to find a satisfactory resolution, which may include providing a non-alcoholic gift hamper or issuing a refund.

  7. Non-Attended Deliveries

We do not leave deliveries unattended. Our delivery partners will attempt to deliver the gift hamper to the recipient or a designated person over the age of 18. If delivery cannot be completed, the hamper will be returned to The Hamper Boutique Co, and arrangements will be made for redelivery or collection. Additional charges may apply for reattempted delivery.

  8. Authorised Delivery Hours

Liquor deliveries may be made during the following hours:

    • 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on any day except Sunday, Good Friday, ANZAC Day, or Christmas Day.
    • 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.
    • 12 noon to 11 p.m. on ANZAC Day.
  9. Prohibited Delivery Days

No liquor deliveries are permitted on Christmas Day or Good Friday.

  10. Consequences of Non-Compliance

Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998:

    • Supplying Alcohol to Minors: It is a severe offence to supply alcohol to anyone under 18. Non-compliance attracts severe penalties, which may exceed $17,000. The Company will not tolerate any violations and will fully cooperate with relevant authorities in suspected cases of infringement.
